It's a temperature roller coaster this week

A beautiful day is on tap today with highs reaching into the 70s. Even warmer temperatures are expected on Thursday as highs soar to near record levels in the mid to upper 80s. The historical average daily high for Paducah this week is 64.

A cold front moves through Thursday night into Friday morning, accompanied by showers and a few thunderstorms. A strong storm can't be ruled out late Thursday night across the northern portions of our region. 

Temperatures on Friday will be 30 to 35 degrees cooler than Thursday. Some locations may dip down to freezing on Saturday morning. Paducah's historical average low for this week is 41.
