After 38 years on local television, KFVS-12 meteorologist Brian Alworth  will retire next month.

Brian joined KFVS from Casper, Wyoming at age 27 as a weekend weathercaster.

He was the first credentialed meteorologist to work for the station, joining the long-time weather team of Don McNeely and Bob Reeves.

Alworth is also a serious outdoor photographer. He has had several gallery shows over the years, and is a supporting member of the Southeast Missouri Arts Council.

His final broadcast will take place on September 19 on The Breakfast Show.
