A contractor for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet  is planning lane restrictions on U.S. 60 in McCracken County, starting Thursday,.

For approximately two weeks, both eastbound and westbound traffic will be reduced to one lane between mile points 1.4 and 2.

Work will be near the transition from four lanes to two, between KY 1154/Hobbs Road and Queensway Drive. Crews will be working in the left-hand (or passing) lanes to build a crossover that will allow traffic to shift during upcoming phases of the U.S. 60 realignment project.

The lane restrictions are expected to be lifted on or about Sept. 10, when traffic will begin utilizing the newly constructed crossover and diversion.

Please slow down and use caution in the work zone.
