Major warmup later this week

Sunny skies and normal to slightly below normal temperatures are forecast today and Monday.

Sunday's highs will be in the upper 70s to around 80, and Monday's morning low will even venture into the upper 40s.

A significant warming trend will begin Tuesday, and temperatures will climb into the lower 90s for the latter half of next week.

No precipitation is forecast the next seven days, which will lead to a deterioration of already abnormally dry or moderate drought conditions.
