Mayfield fire chief injured in crash while responding to fire

A Graves County first responder was injured in a crash over the weekend while responding to a fire.

According to the Graves County Sheriff’s Office, Mayfield Graves Fire-Rescue Squad’s Chief David Warner was involved in a vehicle crash on Sunday evening while responding to a brush fire.

They posted that he was flown to an out-of-state hospital for treatment.

The sheriff’s office said as of Monday morning, Chief Warner was awake and responding.
