Mayfield man hospitalized following Tuesday accident

A single vehicle traffic accident Tuesday afternoon sent a Mayfield man to an out of state hospital for treatment.

The Graves County Sheriff's Office said around 4:30 pm they responded to the area of Folks School Road and KY 339 South between Dublin and Wingo in the Baltimore area.

The investigation determined 22-year-old Ashton Mason of Mayfield was traveling northbound on KY 339 South. Mason ran off of the shoulder, attempted to re-enter the roadway before colliding with a bridge and coming to a rest in a creek.

Mason was flown to Skyline Medical Center in Nashville for treatment of his injuries.
