Mayfield man indicted on charges of strangulation, assault

A Mayfield man was indicted Thursday for domestic violence charges.

Fifty-seven-year-old Theron Patrick was was indicted by a Graves County Grand Jury on charges of strangulation, assault and menacing.

According to the indictment, on February 15th, Patrick strangled and assaulted a woman in Graves County, striking her multiple times with an open palm, knocking her to the ground, pulling her hair and causing visible swelling of her throat area. He also threatened to kill one of the victim's animals.

Patrick is set to appear in court again on May 16th.

The indictment came after action by the Attorney General's Special Prosecutions Unit.
