Mayfield man injured in truck accident in Graves County Monday

A Mayfield man was injured in a traffic accident Monday afternoon in Graves County.

The Graves County Sheriff's Office said just after 3:20 pm they responded to the mishap at 1762 McKendree Church Road.   

A truck operated by 79-year-old Lee Boyd Nelson Jr. of Mayfield was travelling on McKendree Church Road when he experienced a medical episode that resulted in temporary loss of consciousness. He traveled off the roadway eastbound and came to a rest in a ditch.

Nelson was transported from the scene to Jackson Purchase Medical Center by Mayfield/Graves County EMS for non-life-threatening injuries.
