McCracken County Schools has named a Community Schools Director to coordinate a four-year grant.
Marc Mavigliano will fill the new role, thanks to a $1.5 million grant from the Prichard Committee.
In the position, Mavigliano will coordinate the grant, which aims to add high-quality early childhood education programs, support for transitions into higher levels of education, family and community engagement and support, juvenile crime prevention and rehabilitation programs, and more.
Mavigliano has served as the principal at Lone Oak Intermediate since 2015.Before that, he was principal at Lowes Elementary in Graves County, served as assistant principal at Lone Oak Elementary from 2011 until 2013, and has held several positions at Lone Oak Middle School.
He is set to begin the new position on December 1.
