Melber man dead after collision south of Paducah

A Melber man has died following a Thursday afternoon crash in McCracken County.

The crash happened just after 5 p.m. Thursday at the intersection of US 45 and Old US 45. McCracken County Sheriff’s deputies said that a car headed southbound on US 45 and one crossing US 45 collided broadside. The driver of the southbound car, 68-year-old Cynthia Wilhelm of Paducah, and the driver of the crossing car, 74-year-old Gene Rogers of Melber, were taken to the hospital suffering from serious injuries.  

Rogers was pronounced dead at the hospital.
