Mike Miller Park posted on Monday that construction has begun on the newest feature of the park's Miracle League facility in Marshall County.

A new inclusive playground will offer adaptive playground equipment that will allow kids of all abilities to play together. The playground is hoped to be completed later this summer.

The playground will be adjacent to the Miracle League of Western Kentucky's rubber-surfaced baseball field that opened in 2023 to provide sports and recreational activities for children and adults with mental and physical disabilities.

Miracle League teams recently concluded their spring season, and games will resume in the fall.

Details of the park's progress and the fall season are available at the Miracle League of Western Kentucky Facebook page, including opportunities to volunteer or become a Buddy to one of the athletes.
