Murray man arrested on mail theft charge

A Murray man is facing a mail theft charge after his arrest on Thursday.

Calloway County Sheriff’s deputies went to a home on Lone Circle after a complaint regarding a missing package. Deputies believe that 37-year-old Van Lawson of Murray had a package intended for another address on Lone Circle mistakenly delivered to his home. Lawson is accused of keeping that package.

Lawson was arrested and charged with felony theft of mail matter. He was taken to the Calloway County Detention Facility.
