A near collision and other traffic violations led to a traffic stop Thursday that sent two Murray residents to jail on drug charges.

Deputies with the Calloway County Sheriff's Office stopped a vehicle near Chesnut and North 8th Streets after witnessing a vehicle commit several traffic offenses that they said nearly caused a crash.

The driver, 40-year-old Jon Drum of Murray, was reportedly out on bail in a recent Calloway County drug case. While searching the vehicle deputies allegedly found over 8 grams of meth, nearly 8 grams of cocaine, along with LSD and multiple other controlled substances.

Drum was charged with trafficking in meth and LSD, drug possession, and prescription not in a proper container.

Reportedly Drum's passenger, 39-year-old Heather Sudano, was directly involved. She was charged with trafficking in meth, drug possession, and prescription not in a proper container.

Both were arrested and taken to the Calloway County Detention Facility.
