Off-duty Muhlenberg deputy charged with strangulation

An off-duty Muhlenberg County Sheriff's deputy has been charged with strangulation following an assault Saturday.

Kentucky State Police said they received a call Saturday about an assault involving the deputy.

Police charged 41-year-old Jeremy Mahan of Greenville, KY with strangulation 1st degree, terroristic threatening 3rd degree, and wanton endangerment 2nd degree.
