One person was injured after shots were fired in Paducah on Tuesday.

Paducah Police were called to Trimble Street between 27th and Joe Clifton Drive at about 6:45 p.m. after reports of shots being fired nearby. Officers found one victim who had been wounded and tended to that individual until they were taken to a local hospital. Police said that the individual was later transported to an out-of-state hospital for further treatment of what were described as non-life-threatening injuries.

Police detectives were told that the suspect in the shooting fled the scene in a gold vehicle.

The investigation is ongoing, and they ask anyone with information to contact Paducah Police at 270-444-8550. Anonymous tips can also be left through West Kentucky CrimeStoppers.
