Mayfield man arrested on theft charges

A Mayfield man was arrested Tuesday on theft charges.

Mayfield Police said Wednesday they responded to a local convenience store after the owner discovered that a man had stolen from the store.

After viewing security video and getting a license plate, officers located 34-year-old Luis Angel Lemus Ramirez at a local mechanic shop. He was placed under arrest without incident .

Ramirez was transported to the Graves County Restricted Custody Center. He was booked into the McCracken County Jail, charged with theft by unlawful taking,under $500, shoplifting and operating a motor vehicle on a suspended or revoked operator’s license.
