One person went to the hospital after a single-vehicle crash on Sunday night in Paducah.

The McCracken County Sheriff's Office said that deputies were called just before 10:30 p.m. Sunday to the intersection of Old Hinkleville Road and Buchanan Road for an SUV off the road. Deputies said that the SUV driven by 52-year-old Christopher Hamilton ran off the road into a ditch and ultimately hit a tree.

According to the report, Hamilton told deputies he was attempting to defog the windshield and did not see the stop sign. A passenger, 54-year-old Heather Hamilton of Paducah, was taken to Baptist Health Paducah for treatment of her injuries.
