A Paducah man was arrested early Sunday morning after he led a Calloway County Sheriff’s deputy on a high-speed chase.
The deputy tried to stop a vehicle on US 641 speeding and disregarding emergency equipment.
During the pursuit, the suspect, 46-year-old Robert T. Bramley, reportedly slammed on his brakes and swerved towards the deputy several times, even once striking the deputy's causing minor damage.
The pursuit continued for several miles before the suspect pulled to the side of the roadway.
Police said Bramley initially refused to get out of the vehicle and would not follow instructions. He was eventually arrested and taken to the Calloway County Detention Facility.
Charges included DUI, wanton endangerment, menacing, fleeing or evading police, resisting arrest, and speeding 25 mph over the limit.
