Two people were charged Wednesday with trafficking meth out of a Paducah residence.
For the past two months, McCracken County Sheriff’s detectives had investigated suspected illegal drug activity at a residence on North 34th Street. As part of the investigation, detectives conducted a controlled purchase of meth from 44-year-old Rebecca Bellamy at the residence.
On Wednesday, deputies conducted a traffic stop on two vehicles near the residence. Bellamy was occupying one vehicle, while 57-year-old Randy Bresett was in the other.
After the traffic stops, detectives searched the residence with assistance from Paducah Police. They found crystal meth, drug paraphernalia, and cash believed to be proceeds from illegal drug sales.
Bellamy and Bresett lodged in the McCracken County Regional Jail. Bellamy was charged with trafficking in meth. Bresett was charged with complicity to trafficking and possession of meth.
