A parole violator was arrested on Monday morning in McCracken County after a foot pursuit.

A McCracken County deputy on patrol spotted 23-year-old Eric Ellington near Starlite Drive and Clarks River Road just after 2 a.m. Monday. The deputy knew of the active parole warrant and when he stopped to talk to Ellington. Ellington took off on foot and was initially located by Paducah Police. However, he fled again as the McCracken deputy got to the scene.

Law enforcement captured and arrested Ellington a short time later and took him to the McCracken County Regional Jail.

Ellington was charged with fleeing or evading police in addition to the warrant.
