Phone scams being reported in Lyon County

The Lyon County Sheriff's Office said Wednesday individuals and businesses are receiving phone calls from someone claiming to be from their office.

The impersonator is hard to hear and instructs the receiver to go somewhere private before continuing the conversation.

Callers are asked not fall victim to this scam and not answer calls you do not know who the sender is if you haven’t solicited such a call.
