A Princeton man was arrested Friday after police said he tried to sell a car stolen in Tennessee.
Police said 46-year old Billy Don Waynick was taken into custody after officers conducted a traffic stop on Cadiz Road.
Police had an active warrent showing that on August 5 Waynick was trying to sell a 2017 Nissan Maxima reported stolen from Memphis. Detectives reportedly recovered the vehicle in Waynick’s possession as well as a fictitious title.
Waynick was charged with receiving stolen property $10,000 or more and criminal possession of a forged instrument.
He was lodged in the Caldwell County Jail.
