Storms produce damage in Eddyville

Storms that rolled through the area as part of the first round produced damage in Eddyville.

The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office said they had been called out for damage to an RV, some power lines taken down, and a roof lifted off a building. The roof damage was to a building on Main Street. Some of the roof debris ended up on the courthouse lawn.

Main Street was blocked as they dodged other storms and began cleaning up the damage.

The City of Eddyville announced on Thursday night that due to the damage in the area, City Hall would be closed on Friday. Venture River also announced it would be closed due to storm damage.
