Suspect in June 1st shooting turns himself in to Paducah Police

The suspect in a shooting that took place on Sunday, June 1st has turned himself in to Paducah Police.

Monday evening 30-year-old Tony M. Wilson gave himself up to Paducah Police after avoiding them for eight days. He was arrested and charged with 1st-degree assault - domestic violence, and burglary. He was booked into the McCracken County Regional Jail.

Back on June 1st, officers responded to reports of gunfire on Parkside Drive near Olivet Church Road. Officers discovered evidence of the shooting in an apartment near that location.

The victim had been transported by private vehicle to a local hospital before police arrived. She was treated and released.

Detectives, meanwhile, identified Wilson, an acquaintance of the victim, as the suspect in the case. He reportedly fled the apartment before police arrived.
