October 28th has been designated as First Responders Day across the country.

Some estimates attributed to the U.S. Department of Homeland Security said that around 4.6 million first responders are on the job nationwide.

Locally, Marshall County Judge Executive Kevin Spraggs was one of many who signed proclamations honoring those individuals. In the proclamation,  it says first responders include professional and volunteer fire, police, dispatch, emergency medical technicians, and paramedic workers in the United States.

The Marshall County Sheriff's Office shared the proclamation on their Facebook page  and thanked Judge Spraggs for his continued support of the first responders of Marshall County.
