Not only did Kentucky governor Andy Beshear visit Princeton and Mayfield Tuesday, he was also in Hopkinsville celebrating Toyota Boshoku's opening of its new $225 million dollar facility.

The advanced manufacturing facility will employ 157 people and produce seating components fo Toyota's Rav 4 vehicle.

Governor Beshear, who was on hand for the company's groundbreaking in 2023, said he loved that jobs are coming to people in Kentucky and they don't have to travel for jobs.  He added the new facility in Hopkinsville is “one of the most state-of-the-art facilities of its kind in the entire world,” adding that “it’s going to be here for generations to come” and that advanced automation “disproves that automation eliminates jobs.”
