A Benton man was arrested Friday afternoon after deputies said a traffic stop led to the discovery of drugs.
McCracken County deputies said they noticed a vehicle driving carelessly on Benton Road. The driver, 40-year-old Cody Lowery, pulled into the parking lot and got out of his vehicle.
Deputies said Lowery appeared to be under the influence as he was walking around and they reportedly smelled burnt marijuana.
A search of his vehicle allegedly uncovered methamphetamine, marijuana, suboxone, and valium.
Lowery was arrested and charged with trafficking in meth, possession of meth, possession of marijuana, possession of suboxone/valium, possession of drug paraphernalia, and numerous traffic related offenses.
He was taken to the McCracken County Jail.
