A traffic stop early Friday morning in Graves County led to a man's arrest on numerous charges.

The Graves County Sheriff's Office reported just before 1 am, they pulled over a vehicle on Paris Road after the driver committed several traffic violations.  The driver, 33-year-old Zachary T. McAlpin of Mayfield, exhibited signs of impairment and was arrested for driving under the influence.

During a search, deputies discovered hydrochlorothiazide, amphetamine, and alprazolam pills. The pills were in close proximity to two loaded handguns in the vehicle.

They also found an open container of alcohol and improperly stored prescription medication.

McAlpin was taken to the Graves County Restricted Custody Center, then lodged in the McCracken County Regional Jail.
