Truck with wrong license plate leads to arrest in Calvert City

A pickup spotted with what turned out to be the wrong license plate landed a Gilbertsville woman in jail.

Calvert City Police saw the truck at the Love’s Travel Center along US 62 near I-24. Officers said the plate actually belonged to a small passenger car rather than the truck. When they spoke with the two people in the truck, they both told police they had just purchased the truck, and that the previous owner must have put the vehicle tag on. Neither one of them could produce the proper insurance, and the driver only had an ID.

Police arrested 43-year-old Angela Michelle Deskins of Gilbertsville and charged her with operating on a suspended or revoked license, not having the required insurance, and no registration plates.
