Two children found dead, mother stabbed in Kenton, TN home

An investigation continues in Kenton, Tennessee after authorities found a woman critically injured and two children dead in a home on Saturday.

Authorities said they found 1-year-old Landrie Harris and 11-year-old McKenna Young dead from apparent gunshot wounds.

The children’s mother was also found at the home suffering from stab wounds. She was transported to Memphis, where she remains in critical condition.

Much of the small town of 1200 residents southwest of Martin was on lockdown during the investigation on Saturday.

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation said its agents were requested to join the double homicide investigation alongside the Kenton Police Department and the Obion County Sheriff’s Office.

Investigators have not released additional details regarding the circumstances surrounding the deaths, and the investigation remains active and ongoing.
