Two men with ties to western Kentucky will spend time in federal prison on charges related to trafficking in methamphetamine.

The two men, 34-year-old Fabian Thomas of Mayfield and Puryear, Tennessee, and 37-year-old Ronald McClure of Paducah and Peachtree City, Georgia were both sentenced this week in separate cases.

Thomas was convicted of multiple counts of possession with intent to distribute and distribution of meth. Undercover investigations showed that Thomas was in possession of up to 50 grams of methamphetamine on multiple occasions during April 2022. He was sentenced to 14 years in prison plus five years of supervised release.

McClure was convicted of possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, as well from an incident in April 2022. McClure was arrested in McCracken County with more than 50 grams of meth. He was sentenced to 15 years in prison with another five years of supervised release. 

There is no parole in the federal system.
