Welfare check in Kuttawa nets North Carolina fugitive

A welfare check at a home in Kuttawa netted a fugitive from North Carolina.

Last Wednesday, Sheriff Brent White and his Chief Deputy Sam Adams went to a home on Gum Street in Kuttawa to check on the residents. Through the course of the investigation, they located 41-year-old Rocky E. Pack of Kings Mountain, North Carolina. Pack was allegedly hiding inside a closet.

Pack reportedly had a felony theft warrant from North Carolina. He was charged with being a fugitive from justice and possession of marijuana.

The residents, an adult woman and a juvenile male, were unharmed.
