West Paducah man injured in traffic accident

A West Paducah man was injured in a single vehicle accident Wednesday afternoon.

The McCracken County Sheriff's Office said they responded around 5:10 pm to the mishap which occurred on Pullen Lane.

It was determined during the investigation that Billy Stewart of West Paducah had been travelling north on Pullen Lane when he apparently fell asleep at the wheel.  Stewart woke up when his car hit an embankment.

He was taken to a local hospital for treatment of injuries.
