Arrest made in November murder at Union City nightclub

After a deadly shooting at a nightclub in Union City in November, a suspect is finally in custody.

The Union City Police Department reported that 26-year-old Jamarquay Tirik Hockett was arrested on Sunday.

The fatal shooting happened at Volume Lounge on November 23.

According to the initial report, multiple people were injured in the shooting, and one victim, 23-year-old Omariyon Harper of Union City, died from his injuries at a local hospital.

Hockett was charged with five counts of aggravated assault and one count of first-degree murder. 

Hockett is in custody at the Obion County Sheriff’s Department.
