Just after 1:30 p.m. (ET) on Thursday, Kentucky State Police (KSP) arrested Nicholas "Nick" Houck, 46, of Bardstown, Kentucky, on a Nelson County indictment warrant, following an investigation by Kentucky State Police (KSP) detectives.

According to the KSP at Post 4 in Elizabethtown, their investigation indicates that Houck allegedly committed perjury between 2015 and 2023. As a result, Houck was charged with Perjury in the First Degree, a Class D Felony. Under Kentucky law, a Class D Felony is punishable by one to five years in prison, upon conviction.

He is the brother of Brooks Houck, who received a sentence of life in prison, after he was convicted in 2025 of murdering Crystal Rogers, of Bardstown. Rogers disappeared in 2015.

Nick Houck was taken into custody and lodged without incident. KSP Post 4 detectives are continuing the investigation. State Police say no further details are being provided at this time, as this is an ongoing investigation.

There is no word on any court date for his arraignment.
