A three-year-old dog that was rescued in eastern Kentucky was named the world’s cutest rescue dog by People Magazine.

Heaven was announced as a finalist in People Magazine’s World’s Cutest Rescue Dog competition in September, then was selected from more than 10,000 other rescue dogs nationwide.

Heaven was originally rescued by Kentucky River Regional Animal Shelter, then she was adopted by Starfish Animal Rescue in suburban Chicago, Illinois.

The 38-lb. part chow chow, Labrador, boxer, and Pekingese gets prizes that include a year's supply of dog food and a $1,000 donation to the animal rescue of her choice.
