A wreck on Interstate 169 in Christian County led to a Labor Day traffic slowdown when a semi was forced off a bridge on Monday afternoon.
Christian County Sheriff’s deputies said a vehicle was making a U-turn and pulled into the path of a tractor-trailer near Interstate 24.
The semi hit the guardrail then ran into the median and down the embankment between two bridges. The cab of the truck ended up at ground level below, and the trailer was upended at an angle into the air between the bridges.
The vehicle making a u-turn got onto Interstate 24 then exited at exit 86 before calling authorities.
No one was injured in the crash.
