The Paducah Chiefs defeated the Henderson Flash 9-3 Thursday night at Brooks Stadium for their 12th win in 14 games.

The Chiefs scored five runs in the seventh inning to coast to the win.

Nile Adcock struck out ten Henderson hitters and shut out the Flash over six innings to pick up the win.

Easton Denning went 3-for-3 and drove in a pair of runs, while Murray State's Brayden Baker had three RBIs. Former St. Mary Viking Brett Haas went 1-for-3 and drove in a run.

With the win the Chiefs take sole possession of second place, three games behind the Full Count Rhythm with seven games left to play in the regular season. The Chiefs were in fifth place on June 25 at the start of their late season run.

Tonight the Chiefs are back in action at Hopkinsville. The next home game will be Monday against Madisonville at 6:30.
