Chiefs host Miners to open playoffs Monday

The regular season for the Ohio Valley League summer collegiate league ended on Saturday, and the first round of playoffs begin on Monday night in Paducah and in Hendersonville, Tennessee.

By virtue of their 4th-place finish, the Paducah Chiefs will host the Madisonville Miners on Monday at 6:30pm at Brooks Stadium. The best-of-three series will continue Tuesday at Madisonville, and if necessary, the Chiefs will host game 3 on Wednesday.

The winner of the series will advance to face the regular season champion Henderson Flash.

The other first round matchup will also start Monday, with Fulton at the Full Count Rhythm; Tuesday at Fulton; and if necessary, Wednesday at Full Count Rhythm.

The winner of that series will advance to the semifinals against second-place finisher Henderson.
