Chiefs take playoff opener 6-2 over Fulton

The Paducah Chiefs defeated the Fulton Railroaders 6-2 to take the first game of the OVL playoff semifinals Tuesday night.

Gilbertsville native Reese Oakley earned the win on the mound. The Murray State hurler struck out seven and scattered four hits over five innings, allowing just one run. Konner Myatt appeared in relief.

Noah Wagster led the Chiefs at the plate with 3 runs batted in from a pair of hits. TK Madera also had two hits for Paducah.

Game two of the best-of-three series is in Fulton tonight.
