Football Salukis schedule trip to University of Illinois next season

Next season, the Southern Illinois Salukis football team is set to play against the University of Illinois.

A preliminary release of the 2026 schedule release, the Fighting Illini will host the Salukis on Saturday, September 19, 2026 at Memorial Stadium in Champaign.

The Salukis last visited the University of Illinois in 2013, in a 42-34 loss. 
Southern Illinois has previously played Illinois in 1985, 1990, 2010, and 2013.
