According to a report by Kentucky Sports Radio, former Kentucky guard Kerr Kriisa has been arrested by the FBI on alleged fraud charges.
The charges, involving an apparent multi-million-dollar fraud scheme, date back to his time at West Virginia, where he played before transferring to Kentucky during the 2024-25 season. Kriisa is expected to be extradited to West Virginia to face formal charges this week.
Kriisa is being held in the Fayette County Detention Center and was arrested on Friday.
Kriisa recently signed to play for La Familia, a Kentucky Alumni team that will compete in The Basketball Tournament later this month. He also signed with an Estonian professional team.
Kriisa appeared in nine games during the 2024-25 season before a foot injury ended his season. He averaged 4.4 points, 2.4 rebounds and 3.8 assists per game. He recorded a career-high 12 assists against Bucknell. He also scored eight points and had four assists against Gonzaga. In his finale with the Wildcats, he scored his 1,000th career college point.
In his lone season at Cincinnati last year, he averaged 5.8 points and 3.0 assists in 19 contests.
