OVC baseball conference tournament this week at Mtn Dew Park

As the Ohio Valley Conference baseball tournament gets underway, it was recently announced that the conference has extended its contract to host the championship at Mtn Dew Park in Marion, Illinois through the 2029 season.

The venue has hosted the tournament for the past three years.

This year's championship will be played today through Saturday. The conference champion will receive an automatic bid to the NCAA Regionals for a shot at the College World Series in June.

The OVC Baseball Championship has been held at a neutral site since 2001, when it was hosted by Brooks Stadium in Paducah through 2009. It moved to Jackson, Tennessee in 2010, Oxford, Alabama in 2017 and Lexington, Kentucky in 2022. 

The 10 OVC Baseball teams playing this week include UT Martin, Southeast Missouri State, Eastern Illinois, Lindenwood, Little Rock, Morehead State, SIU Edwardsville, Southern Indiana, Tennessee Tech and Western Illinois.
