Thirty points by Murray State's Javon Jackson wasn't enough, and UIC knocked the Racers out of the MVC tournament 92-79 in the quarterfinals.
Elijah Crawford had 19 points and six assists for the fifth-seeded Flames (18-14). Rashund Washington Jr. and Andy Johnson finished with 17 points apiece.
Mason Miller added 12 points for the fourth-seeded Racers (20-12) and Roman Domon finished with 11 points.
UIC took the lead for good with 16:42 left in the first half. The score was 50-32 at halftime, with Johnson racking up 15 points. Washington scored a team-high 15 points in the second half.
The Racers' 20 overall wins and 12 league wins marks their high water mark in four seasons in The Valley.
Meanwhile, UIC will advance to the Arch Madness semifinals to face Drake, the first No. 9 seed to ever upset the No. 1 tournament seed. The Bulldogs shocked Belmont 100-79 on Friday.
