A magnitude 2.6 earthquake was detected on Friday night in southwest Indiana, just across the Ohio River from Kentucky.
The quake occurred near Cynthiana, about 15 miles northwest of Evansville and 24 miles northwest of Henderson, Kentucky.
The USGS office in Memphis said that more than 60 people reported feeling the quake. Almost all reports were located between Cynthiana and Evansville.
On July 25, a nearby 2.4 quake occurred about thirty miles to the south in Uniontown, Kentucky.
