The Murray Sentinel reported that during a preliminary hearing in Calloway District Court on Wednesday, it was determined that the case of 25-year-old Aidan Santos will move directly to a Calloway Circut Court hearing on March 30th.
Santos' attorney waived presentation of the case to a grand jury.
Kentucky State Police arrested Santos at his Opportunity Drive apartment February 26th and seized several electronic devices.
Police ultimately charged Santos with 20 counts of possessing and distributing matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor under 12
A Kentucky State Police detective testified Wednesday that more charges are expected to be filed against Santos, after investigators recovered more suspected child sexual abuse images from Santos' account on the social media platform Kik.
Calloway District Judge Randall Hutchins raised Santos' bond from $10,000 to $25,000.
Judge Hutchins also granted a request from the prosecution that Santos not be allowed to contact or communicate with his girlfriend or any member of her family.
The girlfriend is not charged in connection with the case.
