Graves and Marshall County detectives combined on a search and made an arrest as part of an investigation into reported child molestation.

On Monday, detectives searched a residence on KY 534 south of Symsonia. During the search, detectives seized multiple devices that contained hundreds of images and videos of minors who believed to be under the age of 12, involved in acts that were deemed sexual in nature.

The named suspect in the investigation, 60-year-old Mark A. Cunningham, was not at the residence at the time of the search. Prior to the search, detectives contacted Cunningham by phone, requesting him to be at the residence. Officers said Cunningham stated that he would, however he never showed.

On Wednesday, during surveillance of his home, detectives observed Cunningham leave his residence. He was stopped and arrested.

He was transported to an out of county detention center and charged with distribution of matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor, a Class B felony.
