One dead in single-vehicle crash in Calvert City Friday

One man has died as a result of a single-vehicle crash in Calvert City.

The crash happened just before 7 a.m. near the intersection of Industrial Parkway and Gilbertsville Highway, just east of the plants in Calvert. Marshall County Coroner Kenny Pratt confirmed to West Kentucky Star that one person died as a result of that crash. Pratt said that the victim was a male and an autopsy is scheduled for Saturday.

The victim will be identified following notification of family members.

The road was closed for about 2 hours while the crash was investigated.
