A man wanted for attempted murder for his involvement in a shooting early Wednesday morning in Metropolis has been arrested.
Metropolis police were called to a report of shots fired at 1 am on Wednesday in the 300 block of Oak Drive. Officers said the shooter had already fled the scene when they arrived and the victim had crashed their vehicle into a tree before leaving the scene on foot.
They said the shooting was not a random attack.
Police later identified 37-year-old Justin Eades as a suspect in the shooting and confirmed late Wednesday that Eades has been arrested.
