One injured in KY 94 crash east of Murray

A single-vehicle crash shut down a portion of KY 94 east of Murray Monday morning.

The crash happened just before 5:30 a.m. on KY 94 between Van Cleave and Knight Road. That section of road had to be blocked as first responders worked to cut a person from that vehicle. Calloway County Fire Rescue, the Calloway County Sheriff’s Office, Murray Police, and Kentucky State Police were all on the scene working the crash.

The victim was taken by Murray-Calloway County EMS to the hospital.

The crash took out a utility pole, knocking out power in the area. West Kentucky Rural Electric Cooperative responded to the scene in an effort to get the power back on.
